ANGEL Town Hall Proceedings Available

Hi All,

The video from the ANGEL Community Hub Town Hall is now available. The latest town hall took place on Wednesday, May 2nd, and was devoted to an in-depth preview of ANGEL v7.1.

I'd like to thank everyone who was able to attend. We had over 60 participants in the Ag Auditorium as well as over 40 other sites connected via Adobe Connect. The session was lively and engaging with lots of audience participation. Together we explored the new, dynamic 7.1 interface that was designed with input from PSU faculty, staff, and students. If you missed the event you can watch a replay of it by clicking here. Read on for additional opportunities to learn more about ANGEL 7.1.

TLT Newsletter Podcast: The new ANGEL spreads its wings

Jamie Oberdick, Associate Editor, Publications, at Teaching and Learning with Technology, recently sat down with Allan and myself to talk about ANGEL v7.1 for this month's (April) TLT Newsletter. Jamie was gracious enough to allow us to post the interview on the Community Hub as well. Below is Jamie's lead into the the interview as well as a link to the podcast. Questions and comments welcome.
-Jeff

"I recently sat down with Allan Gyorke and Jeff Swain, two of our resident ANGEL gurus, to discuss the many new features of ANGEL 7.1. They also talk about some of the ways we support ANGEL. They both do a great job of explaining the new ANGEL, so if you want to get up to speed with our CMS, please take a listen". Listen to the podcast.

ANGEL Community Hub Town Hall Previewing ANGEL v7 for Penn State

I am pleased to announce our second Community Hub Town Hall. This one will take place on Wednesday May 2nd. Read on for details.

Abridged ANGEL 7 Preview

Allan and I completed a brief (under 10 minutes) preview of ANGEL v7 for Penn State as it looks now. We cover, at a high level, the new buttons that replace the text links on the left-hand side of the page, the guide tool which incorporates such tools as the course map and what's new, we look at some of the things that have stayed the same, e.g. the syllabus and lessons tab plus we look at the new tabs (resources, communicate, reports, and manage). This is a quick once-over demonstration designed to let you know what to expect when we upgrade at the end of the spring semester.

ANGEL v7.1 Preview Notes

Allan Gyorke and myself gave a presentation on ANGEL v7.1 to the folks at World Campus today. Attached are the presentation notes. They contain a brief outline of what to expect in our version of ANGEL 7.1 come May. Please note, that the feature set has not been finalized. This document represents our best guess based on our testing so far. Feel free to post questions or comments.
