The Course tab, new with ANGEL 7.1, is the first page instructors and students see when entering a course. Functioning as the “home page” for the course, the purpose of the Course tab is to display critical information regarding course activity.
The Course tab is comprised of course information that is displayed using graphic summaries and navigational links that can be selected to reveal more detailed information. Some of the features include:
•The course Guide: an expandable navigation feature that updates immediately upon log in.
•Activity at a Glance: student activity is displayed using graphic summaries that can be selected to reveal more information
•Grades: presents a visual representation of student performance

Course Tab and Resources Tab
Hi Jeff,
We were wondering if there are any preferences on campus regarding which items to place on the Course tab and which to put on the Resources tab. Have there been any studies regarding which items students access most frequently?

Course Tab Preferred Information
Hi Nikki,
Good question. I know ANGEL Learning did extensive focus groups when developing v7 and I'm sure they played a role in what the default settings for the course page are. Part of what we are looking at now is what recommendations, if any, we would make to put on either page. Rather than anything concrete we'll probably come up with multiple examples. e.g. if communication is important in your course you may want to put these features on the course page, etc.
From my experience, what students would want on the front page are the things they need to do, their grades, and any messages they may need to read/reply to.
Best,
Jeff
