Links to Student Resources...your ideas

In addition to the ability to add a link to a Web page on the Lessons tab, you can also add links on the Resources tab within the Course Resources component and on the Communicate tab within the Communication Links component.

I am imagining that a link on the Lessons tab would pertain to a particular unit or topic in the course. A link on the Resources tab could be a Web-based reference or calculator, for example a body mass index calculator, International Phonetic Association alphabet (I’m a linguist; had to throw that in), carbon footprint calculator, citation style guide, and so on. Links on the Communicate tab could be to a communication tool outside ANGEL such as a blog or collaborative writing application, guidelines for electronic communication, or content pertinent to a discussion, e.g., current events.

Please share with the community some of the types of Web resources you link to within your courses. In which of the above locations do you place the links? Do you organize them into categories?

How to:

  • On the Resources tab, in the Course Resources title bar, click the edit button. Select Add a Link in the toolbar.
  • On the Communicate tab, beneath the Communication Links title bar, select Add/Edit Links. Select Add a Link in the toolbar.

I've been using the Resources tab

To post links to the Google Docs we're using in the TLA class.

Best,
Jeff
