New features in Angel 7.3- specifically quizzes vs. assessments

I would like to know where I can find more information on the things that will change in ANGEL 7.3- I saw that discussion forums will change and that there are now quizzes and assessments.

Where can we go to find out about this and any other changes so that we are prepared for the 1st day of summer courses when the new Angel version is rolled out??

Thanks!

New features in ANGEL 7.3

You probably already saw the post below just below yours containing a link to my article outlining the new features. In addition, ITS Training Services will offer a new features workshop Monday, May 11 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. via an Adobe Connect desktop videoconference. To register, visit http://its.psu.edu/training/ and select the "Register for seminars" link.

I'm not sure where you heard about the new "assessment" content type, a more powerful descendant of the familiar "quiz" item. When version 7.3 is released in mid-May, there will only be the familiar quizzes. The last I was told, a *pilot* of assessments will take place during fall semester, with quizzes still available to everyone. It is my understanding that if/when we adopt ANGEL 7.4 a year hence, ANGEL Learning, the maker of ANGEL, will no longer support the older "quiz" content type. Others can correct me if I'm wrong. As with many applications, there is always a trade-off: quick and easy but not able to accomplish more complex or esoteric objectives/tasks (e.g., the quiz), vs. more time-consuming to set up but more powerful and complex (the assessment).
