Two errors, detailed below, have been identified in the Course Submission and Consultation System (CSCS) within ANGEL. Information Technology Services tentatively plans to correct the errors by the end of February.
- The system will incorrectly send an e-mail each time a consultant whose review was requested by a college administrator reviews and approves a proposal. The e-mail indicates that all formal consultation is complete and that the submitter may now send the proposal forward to the college proposal administrative group. While the proposal can indeed be sent forward to the college proposal administrative group at that time, the incorrect behavior is that the e-mail is generated upon each such review.
- The system will produce an error screen when a proposal submitter responds to comments that have been previously left by a consultant/reviewer. Note that despite the error screen, the response has in fact been recorded into the CSCS. An e-mail will not be sent to the consultant/reviewer as a result of the error. A proposal submitter who wishes to inform the consultant/reviewer that he/she has responded to the review should contact the individual via phone or e-mail.
