It combines the functionality of the course welcome page available in previous versions of ANGEL with other course resource tools, such as the Penn State Library Tools. Yu-Chang Hsu created a movie version of ANGELshorts (Vol. 2, #1): Five Things Faculty Should Know about the Manage Tab. In the movie Yu-Chang walks you through the essential things you need to know about using the Manage tab including course settings and management features as well as , data management, tools. The movie is short, to the point, and very informative. I recommend checking it out. Let us know what you think and maybe we can make this a regular feature.

"In ANGEL 7.1, the Manage tab replaces the Tools tab found in earlier versions. The Manage tab houses the Management Console, which is comprised of common course management tools to help you manage students, grades, and attendance. Additionally, this is where you will find the course settings tools that enable you to alter a variety of environment settings and data management tools that allow you to back up and restore, import and export, and manage files."

I've devised a solution for an "Angel challenge" I experienced for some time. This little process allows me to to better segment many different Angel resources (discussion forums, documents, dropboxes etc.), that are tied to a single lesson, but appear in a long list on the page.
Similar results can be achieved with a simple file and folder structure, but for a number of reasons (I won't take time describe), I needed to do it this way. I hope this helps someone, or at least spawns other ideas on flexibility within Angel.
