Please pass this on to all who use ANGEL for graded quizzes.

If you are going to embed a video in a quiz question that the quizzee MUST watch to answer the question, please provide alternative links to said video, and an alternative way to get at the required info - like a text transcript.

I just watched my daughter wait 30 minutes for a video to load in an ANGEL quiz. Good grief.

I've created an LOR titled "Education Technology Resources." It will hold, among other things, student tutorials on a variety of ed tech, starting with an introduction to podcasting.

Problem is, you can't access an LOR from within a group, so any students wishing to use the LOs in the LOR within their own groups can't do so.

I was hoping this would not be the case in 7.3, but it is. Any suggestions on alternatives?

Any one tried to send an email but don't see it in the Sent box? A student report this. I tested in my dev. space and it's true. Is there an Angel setting that can solve this?

Penn State’s Course Management System, ANGEL (http://cms.psu.edu), was upgraded from version 7.1 to version 7.3 during the weekend of May 16. The new version of ANGEL features enhancements to several existing tools, and several new tools will help course editors perform administrative tasks. Why is it that there is no up-to-date general documentation for ANGEL? There are old docs and recorded sessions about upgrading to ANGEL 7.1 (which are obviously obsolete at this point) but there is no general comprehensive up-to-date documentation. It would be good to have:

1) A comprehensive "Intro to ANGEL" document for new students.
2) A comprehensive "Intro to ANGEL" document for new faculty.
3) A recorded Connect training session for new students.
4) A recorded Connect training session for new faculty.
5) A class handout for each of the above Connect training sessions.

It doesn't make sense to have each campus re-invent the wheel and develop and deliver their own training and documentation and handouts to teach all of their new faculty and new students!

I would like to know where I can find more information on the things that will change in ANGEL 7.3- I saw that discussion forums will change and that there are now quizzes and assessments.

Where can we go to find out about this and any other changes so that we are prepared for the 1st day of summer courses when the new Angel version is rolled out??
