The 2008 Penn State Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology on March 29 was an incredible event. From Lawrence Lessig’s outstanding keynote to a lively poster session, the day was filled with exchange of information, presentation of ideas, and lots of networking.

If you either missed the event or would like to relive your experience, you can go to the Symposium Web site and read blog posts, watch videos of the keynote, listen to podcasts, and hopefully offer a few comments. In fact, one of the presenters was inspired to post his own thoughts on the Symposium in his Centre Daily Times blog.

Meanwhile, ETS staff offered their own Symposium reflections in their blogs.

- Elizabeth Pyatt, instructional designer with ETS, offered her “quirky view” of Lawrence Lessig’s keynote.

- Cole Camplese, ETS director, talked about “game day” of the Symposium, and then afterwards discussed what he took from the event (and mentioned why it was so successful.

- Brad Kozlek, ETS senior programmer, mentions in his recap how hard it is to capture in words everything that went on during the event. He manages to do a great job of it.

That’s it for this week’s BuzzLion. There is plenty here to go through both on the Symposium site and on ETS blogs.

Next week’s BuzzLion will be back to the usual format. We encourage you to send us anything you find of interest that you would like to see here by emailing at jco11@psu.edu.
