New Video on Penn State and Second Life Available!
See https://streaming.psu.edu/media/?movieId=8240
Leslie, Shannon, and I worked together on this. Leslie wanted a video to show adult learners and practitioners the possibilities for SL at the 2009 Hendrick Best Practices for Adult Learners Conference. Shannon and I wanted a video to show anyone what’s happening in the space.
Kim Winck of ETS did a great job advising us and producing the final video. We now have a great video for all to watch and learn about Penn State and Second Life. Enjoy!
ETS Site via Wordle
Gary Chinn took a minute to run this site through the really cool content visualization tool Wordle. The resulting tag cloud below is what he got. I like that the words students, technologies, educational, and learning are similar in size. Thanks to Gary!
ETS Briefing 12.6.2006
At our last all ETS Staff Meeting I presented a strategic planning briefing that attempted to outline the current and future state of ETS. I thought I would post a PDF of the slides that went along with the presentation. I thought we had a great conversation around some of the newer approaches we are taking here in ETS. I think the only really new stuff in it are the Engagement Initiative, how we are pulling projects together, and our major emphasis on research and assessment. The presentation attempts to outline our mission and goals as well as discuss how we are attempting to align these with our initiatives. At any rate, I have included a PDF of my slides to download and and review. Please feel free to send me email or leave comment here if you have questions or thoughts.
