Service Sheet: Teaching with Technology Certificate
The Teaching with Technology (TWT) certificate program enables graduate student teaching assistants to strengthen their educational technology capabilities. Through the free program, graduate students apply existing technology skills in course instruction, acquire new skills, and develop a philosophy about teaching with technology.
Participants in the program assemble an online portfolio highlighting their knowledge and skills, under the guidance of departmental representatives. Examples of completed portfolios can be viewed at http://ets.tlt.psu.edu/twt/portfolios/.
Upon approval of this portfolio, students receive a certificate from The Graduate School. This certificate is valuable when seeking teaching positions, as employers are looking for personnel who have strong technology skills and can make decisions about appropriate use of technologies in education.

The twenty-one modules, which incorporate sophisticated course design, multimedia resources, and student-centered activities, have been adapted for use in an ANGEL course or group. Each iStudy for Success! module contains an introduction, objectives, directions, references, and a summary. Activities make use of the quizzing feature in ANGEL as well as the My Notes tool.
