From the Adobe Connect Users Group Meeting:
The third Friday of the month is nearly upon us once again, and you know what that means... time for our next Adobe Connect Academic Users Group meeting!
It will be at our usual place online:
http://adobechats.adobe.acrobat.com/acaug
The meeting will start at 1 pm U.S.Eastern (GMT -4), and run about one hour.
Thanks to several fantastic individuals who responded to our recent plea for presenters, it looks like we have two lined up for this meeting, plus several others for future meetings.
For Friday, we have a frequent favorite past presenter, Terry Shane of Refined Data, to talk about their Talking Stick product, and Robert Gibson, Ed.D. Associate CIO - Academic and User Services Emporia State University, will speak about his school's integration of Connect into Blackboard.
And we still would love to hear from anybody else interested in presenting in the future, or just have topic suggestions. If you do, please write me at:
lodom@umuc.edu
In the meantime, hope you all can make it Friday!
-Laddie

I found this topic on the Connect Users Group and thought I would share this upcoming event on

"Adobe Education Leader, Dave Forrester will provide information on four different professional development models using Adobe Connect Pro Meeting and Adobe Presenter 7. At the same time, Dave will provide some information on best practices using Adobe Connect Pro and some additional valuable resources."

I was looking to see what Digital Commons (http://digitalcommons.psu.edu/) here at Penn State offers for support and tutorials for Adobe Presenter and found an interesting and useful link to a demo of Presenter on YouTube (http://youtube.com).
I was impressed so I typed "Adobe Presenter" in the YouTube search and several more very good introduction sessions and tutorials were listed. All for free!!
Also several good videos came up just focusing developing better more effective presentation skills for delivery via the Internet.
Worth a look. All the sections are short and to the point.
