Penn State Captioning Tool Posted

In recent years, Pat Besong of ITS had developed and offered a captioning tool for the Mac called "Parity." This tool has now been released as MovCaptioner from http://www.synchrimedia.com.
It is still free for Penn State users. You can contact Pat Besong (pzb@psu.edu) for information on how to obtain a license.
The cost for users outside of Penn State is approximately $40, but it does support a wide range of caption types including Quicktime, Flash, YouTube, video poscast and more.

ChemBlaster Level 2

Though its been a bit longer than I had intended since my last update, I wanted to take a few minutes to show off some new screen shots from ChemBlaster

These screenshots were taken from the game's second level, which deals with ion identification (as compared to level 1 which is about element identification).  Though the core gameplay is the same, in level two, the player fires positive and negative charges at randomly generated elements to build out 10 of a possible 30 cations or anions.
As you can see if you compare the new screens to the old ones, quite a few new interface elements have been added since the last update.  A few highlights for your reading pleasure:

So far, the tutorials have covered how to add a page with a tab, but I suspect you will want to more than one page and control tab order. To do that:

Create a Second Page
Follow the instructions on http://ets.tlt.psu.edu/twt/node/167 for creating a "Teaching Philosophy" page or http://kb.its.psu.edu/psu-all/hd/faq-s-about-using-the-professional-webs.... Don't forget to include to @topnav in the Tags field.read more
