Designs on e-Learning
September 9 & 10 2008
Penn State University
As an educator in the arts and humanities, I’d like to tell you about an exciting international conference new to the United States. Previously held in London, Designs on e-Learning (designsonelearning.psu.edu) addresses the issues of educational technology specifically as they relate to the arts and humanities. This annual conference, jointly hosted by Penn State University and the University of Arts London aims to illuminate established practices as well as innovations, to share both challenges and successes presented by the relevant disciplines, and to communicate the benefits of online and blended learning.
Call for papers
Designs on e-Learning invites the submission of abstracts for consideration for presentations lasting 30 minutes. The abstract should consist of a description of the proposed paper including reference to the problem, methodology and conclusions of the work described.
Conference Themes include:
Submitted abstracts will be assessed in a blind review process by a panel of distinguished reviewers.
The abstract should not exceed 500 words in length. This will be the version published in the papers for the conference and in the Designs on e-Learning 2008 Conference Proceedings. The deadline for abstract submission is May 30, 2008.
I hope that you will share news of this engaging and relevant event with your colleagues, and that you’ll consider attending Designs on e-Learning this September.
