A Pre-conference Game for the 2009 Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology

Game takes players on quests to learn more about educational gaming at Penn State

Penn State’s Educational Gaming Commons has created “PSU Connections,” a pre-conference game associated with the 2009 Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology. The purpose of the game is to introduce players to the wide variety of educational gaming and educational technologies available at Penn State and elsewhere.

The game consists of five “quests.” The first four quests are individual activities that will take less than an hour each. For example, the first part takes the players through several Web pages, where they will pick up information on some of the educational technologies available at Penn State. These lead up to the fifth quest, a group activity that will start Friday, April 17 at 10:00 a.m. in 23 Willard Building. The final quest will take players all over University Park campus on a scavenger hunt.
