Faculty TechTraining e-mail distribution list

Faculty and instructors can now join the Faculty TechTraining e-mail distribution list to stay up-to-date about the training Penn State offers on technology tools for teaching. Subscribers of the Faculty TechTraining List will receive one note each month (if applicable) listing the opportunities for faculty and instructors to learn about a variety of technologies related to teaching, including ANGEL and Adobe Connect, as well as relevant conferences and events, such as the Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology.

Adobe After Effects Demonstration and Discussion

On October 7th I will be providing an Adobe After Effects training/demonstrations and discussion from 10am to 11:30am in Rider building Room 210b. I will be demonstrating the use of the 3d Camera inside of Adobe After Effects and some common effects that can be created with it. In doing so I will demonstrate a few projects that I myself have worked on using the 3d Camera in AE and also talking about other places you see this effect in video.

Studiocode Training Videos

A few weeks ago, we had Ryan Peck come to campus to record some Studiocode tutorials. Studiocode takes up an entire computer screen, so the video isn't completely clear -- but it answers a lot of questions about what Studiocode can do and some helpful shortcuts. In addition to these movies, I also recommend attending the training sessions on November 27-30 and reviewing the Studiocode Resources post.

Here are the videos (10-17 minutes each):
