About the Stickers
During the 2008 TLT Symposium, we created a set of 14 stickers that people could take and attach to their name badge, laptop, bag, etc... These were MUCH more popular than we had anticipated and several people created their own designs. For the 2008 Learning Design Summer Camp, we gave attendees the opportunity to create their own stickers and we were very impressed with the results. Again, these were more popular than anticipated. We're doing the same thing again this year. So if you would like to design a sticker, please upload it here by June 19.
Design Considerations
- Please, no copyrighted material
- The size should be 240x240 pixels with nothing important in the 10 pixels around all edges. Anything that goes beyond an inner 220x220 square is likely to be truncated.
- The final printed size will be about 7/8 of an inch -- if you have your Symposium stickers, they're the same product.
- These can be full color, so photographs, Second Life avatars, Twitter icons, and anything else will probably look just fine.
- FONT: Myriad Pro, Semibold around 165 pt in size (watch out for the varied space between the letters - kerning)
- Cartoon Images: Many of them were started at http://www.planetcreation.co.uk/createpic/ with some additional editing. Thanks to Stevie Rocco for making most of them.
Example Sticker Designs
These are some of the designs, arranged by topic area. They will give you an idea of the size in case you didn't see them before.

These stickers represent technologies that someone is interested in discussing. For example, you could identify your interest in Podcasting and Social Networks.

Asg102 Google Wave Logo. I don't think they'd mind us promoting their new service.
The image from the character generator plus a nod to the movie Coraline
We can't help it's who we are...
In case you like the slogan... : )
face it, what else are they good for?
Even Twitter supports Unicode!
Ideas based on Chris Long's faculty fellow position.
I bought some of these off the Creative Commons store, but like the photo.
Modified version of the image used to promote Creative Commons Case Studies, but SO appropriate to educational applications.
