When and Where to Meet
How does the last week in July for our first meeting? I'm not sure what schedules look like, but if everyone could post what works best among July 30th (Wed), 31st (Thurs) or Aug 1st (Friday). As far as location goes, I'd recommend something nice and casual, either the basement of Irvings, or perhaps the all new ETS Collaborative Suite on the second floor of the Rider building. Thoughts?
Robin: I am clear on all three dates, other than the BS Breakfast Friday morning. And yes, I'd prefer someplace chill. Is there enough room in Cafe ETS for everyone? Otherwise, Irvings is fine with me.
Stubbs: I believe Cafe ETS seats about 8, with space for an extra chair or two. So if it looks like we'll have a full house, Irvings might be a better choice.
Emily: I'll be in Cali til 8/2, so all these dates are out for me unless we're now going with the first full week of August? Please go with whatever the majority can do. If the group would like to meet in the library, let me know and I can arrange something. No pressure, just an offer. :) Irvings, Cafe ETS, anywhere is fine with me.
Annie: Are we thinking "lunch"? If so, all three days are clear for me. If not, I'm in Oracle if you want to compare time slots...?
Anne: I'm clear Wednesday or Friday, but Thursday's right out for me. Irvings or wherever is fine with me.
<stevie>I can do any of those days, other than the BS Breakfast Friday as well. The following week, I can do Monday AM, Tuesday AM, Wednesday any time, or Thursday or Friday PM. :) </stevie>
How Can We Facilitate Participation From Those Outside of UP?
- Use Skype or iChat to bring people in?
- Podcast the sessions?
- Build out the discussion via the wiki before, during, and after the face to face meeting
What other options might be effective?
