My Portfolio (and misc other thoughts) Blog
I am an Education Technology Manager within the Teaching and Learning with Technology group at Penn State. Essentially, this means that I spend most of my time:
- Exploring new technologies to see if they have educational applications
- Working with faculty and educational technology staff to solve pedagogical issues
- Finding creative ways to share faculty success stories across the university such as the annual TLT Symposium, community hub sites, and various video projects
- Implementing new technology initiatives (resources, timelines, policy implications
Personally, I really enjoy using podcasts to discuss issues and share my thoughts with other people. At work, I’m a regular member of the ETS Talk podcast, where we discuss new initiatives at Penn State along with conferences, new technologies, policy issues, pedagogical concerns, student and faculty culture, etc… If you listen to the podcast, I’m the guy on the right.
Currently, I am also a PhD candidate in the Adult Education program at Penn State. My research interest is in faculty engagement and development, which is a nice fit with my work responsibilities.
