Week 3: Oct. 1 to Oct. 7

Meeting with Kevin on Oct. 3
- I met with Kevin this week and fixed a problem with him that we was having with his Adobe Acrobat. For some reason, all of his PDFs were opening up in Adobe Photoshop and I guided him through the right mouse click and using the "open with" option. I went in and tried to select a different setting for PDFs to open with but he needed an admin account to do that. We also went over burning data disks again. For next week we are going over how to use Angel and all of the elements surrounding Angel.

Meeting with Dana DeNobe & Claudia Mincemoyer on Oct. 5
- I guided a team of teachers that are setting up an online Angel course for next semester on all the different functions of Angel. I went through each tab and showed them most of the general options they can use when setting up there course. I also guided them through submitting an electronic reserve request through the library. They are going to contact me for our next meeting, which should be in about two weeks to give them time to add content and come back with any more questions they might have.

Meeting with Jon Olson on Oct. 5
- I helped out Jon Olson with a few PowerPoint questions regarding transitions between slides and text affects. I also helped him out with an upload problem with uploading his web pages. Jon has also been having some problems with SPAM in his email. I turned on his spam blocker that is built into Eudora. I received an email that his blocker was blocking most SPAM, but it was also putting some of his relevant emails into the SPAM folder. I was wondering if you know of any other SPAM blockers for instructors??? In our next meeting we are going to go over how to insert music into a PowerPoint.
