TLT CoffeeRead: Mandarin academy combines literacy and technology

“Twenty middle school students are spending a month learning Mandarin on campus this summer, and there isn’t a textbook in sight. The students are immersed in the language by reading graphic novels, watching animations, playing games and creating podcasts and digital stories.”
This is going on at San Francisco State.
