Skitch and Twitter

ETS staff were on the Twitter train quite some time ago … we had all sorts of discussion about its merits, potential pitfalls, and opportunities in the teaching and learning space. Strangely enough our Twitter use has continued and matured over the last year or so. One thing I know it gets used for are quite questions between our staff and those in the education technology space across PSU and beyond. One thing we can now do is combine Twitter with the very cool image capture/editing application, Skitch.
Skitch is like a camera for the Internet — at least that is what the Skitch people tell us. Skitch is a very handy and quick image capture and sharing application that now has built in support for sending Tweets when items are posted. I’ve been using it for a couple of days from my mobile phone … snapping quick pictures and sending them off to the web for publication — at the same time my Twitter community is handy a TinyURL to go see the picture. Nice little piece of functionality and could be very useful for sharing screenshots of all sorts of things. Might be worth a look.
