Next TWT Portfolio Deadline: May 13

If you plan to submit your portfolio for Spring 2013, the official deadline is May 13, 2013 (although there is some flexibility as needed). Please contact your TWT Coordinator if you plan to submit a portfolio so a review can be scheduled.

Non-graduate instructors should also register with the HR before May 13. See http://ets.tlt.psu.edu/twt/HRenrollment for registration instructions.

Game Day Event on May 7

Registration is now open for the Educational Gaming Commons' Second Annual GameDay event. Join us on Tuesday May 7th @ the University Park Knowledge Commons (University Libraries) for an exciting day of all things Educational Gaming at Penn State. For more information or to sign up for this free event, visit the GameDay 2013 page at http://gaming.psu.edu/gameday/.

This is a free event which explores educational gaming and the new trend of educational badges. This is a great way to recharge after the spring semester.

Doceri Training added to Summer-Fest 2013

Steve James from Doceri will be on campus to do two Doceri training sessions on Friday, May 3. They will be broadcast live through Connect, and the recordings will be made available after the sessions. Both sessions will be more or less the same, so if you're interested, sign up for either!

Summer-Fest 2013 Registration Open

Faculty, instructors, and graduate students are invited to sign up for free workshops during Summer-Fest (May 6-10, 2013) developed to target technology as it relates to pedagogy and research. Topics include ANGEL, Adobe Connect, Accessibility, Google Docs, Sites at Penn State, using the iPad in the classroom, and Yammer. In addition, workshops will be held by representatives from Apple, i>clicker, and lynda.com.

Faculty Training Sessions from ITS Training for Feb

The following sessions are available from ITS Training in late January and February. Topics include VoiceThread (tomorrow), ANGEL, blogs, clickers, LionSearch from the Libraries, Sites at Penn State, Wikispaces, Yammer and building a "stellar syllabus."

Survey Seeks Feedback on Potential ANGEL Enhancements

Faculty, students, and staff are encouraged to complete a survey to provide input on potential enhancements to be made to the ANGEL course management system.

Registration Procedure Change for Non-Graduate Instructors

If you are a non-graduate instructor and wish to register for a future cycle of the TWT Certificate within the HR Center for Workplace Learning and Performance's system, please note that the URL and login procedure have changed.

To register for a program, follow the instructions at http://ets.tlt.psu.edu/twt/HRenrollment.
