ITS Training has announced a new service in which Penn State has licensed access to the software tutorials at Lynda.com.

This service is available on both Mac and PC and includes a wide variety of the most popular software titles including Microsoft Office, Adobe products, Apple iLife, Podcasting and Garage Band, and many multimedia and Web programming titles.

Good afternoon:

Information Technology Services (ITS) has identified and fixed a problem that caused ANGEL mail sent using Internet Explorer to not be shown to the sender or recipient. New messages will be delivered successfully, but messages that were affected by this issue are still not appearing in the sender's or recipient's mail.

ITS is evaluating the feasibility of recovering the mail messages that were affected by this issue.

On July 20th, two ANGEL features were updated: 1) the way in which discussion forums are displayed in the Discussion Forums component on the course Communicate tab, and 2) what a course editor sees on the Activity Detail report for a lesson content item if tracking is disabled.

1) Editors can customize how discussion forums are sorted

Over a year ago, the content of the TWT site migrated to the current site at http://ets.tlt.psu.edu/twt (if you are here, you are at the NEW URL). However, the older site had been available until recently. Please be aware that the old site has been taken down to streamline Web site maintenance within ITS. For clarification

Just a reminder that if you are on campus in August, you may want to take advantage of the seminar offerings from ITS Training (http://its.psu.edu/training). Seminars for instructors include What's New in ANGEL 7.3, ANGEL Gradebook, Blogs at Penn State and Web 2.0 Tools.

Additional offerings for Microsoft Office and multimedia software are available for late July (spaces still available in some seminars).
