Introduction to the Symposium 2009 Game - PSU Connections

Welcome to PSU Connections, the 2009 Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology Pre-conference Game!

The purpose of this game is to introduce you to educational gaming and education technologies available at PSU and elsewhere.

The game consists of five quests. The first four quests are done on your own prior to the conference. We’ll space them out so you receive a new quest every several weeks. The fifth quest is a group activity, completed on Fri, April 17 on the Penn State University Park campus. The fifth activity will start at 10 AM in 23 Willard Building and will take you all over campus in a scavenger hunt. You don’t have to complete all the quests to play! While the fifth quest will take several hours to complete, each of the first four quests can be completed in less than an hour.

The first quest is a simple romp through several web pages, where you’ll pick up some information on some of the educational technologies available to you at Penn State. The second quest is…. well, let’s see if you make it that far!

Prizes will be awarded to all participants!

Please be patient with Nethernet - it's a beta technology. It holds much promise as an instructional overlay mechanism. See http://gaming.psu.edu/node/797 for more thoughts on this.
