Quest #2 - Twitter and Wikis On the Web

Quest #2 will explore Twitter and Wikis.

Twitter is all about micro-blogging and building personal connections. It's like an asychronous chat room.

Wikis are community knowledge builders. You are reading this in a wiki! So, here's what you need to do:

  1. Go to http://twitter.com. Sign up for an account. Do not use your PSU password here!
  2. You must friend the TLT Symposium and me. Friending a person means you will see Twitter posts (named Tweets) from that person, and that person will see your Tweets.
  3. You must friend me, and the other players! Others will need to know your Twitter name so they can friend you. So, down below you must add your name and your Twitter name. If others have added their names already, you can start sending friend requests. Do that in Twitter by clicking on the Find People link, enter their Twitter name, then click on the Follow button.
  4. To edit the wiki, click on the Log in link in the upper right corner of the screen. Then look for the Edit link to the right of the Your Name, Your Twitter Name header. Don't be scared! If you mess up the wiki, we can easily roll back to a previous version. Also, formatting is easy. Just copy a line here, paste it below the last name, and change the information. Then click on the Save Page button at the bottom of the page.
