Description
Alan Levine, vice president and CTO for the New Media Consortium, will come to Penn State for a half-day presentation May 5 from 1-4 p.m. in Foster Auditorium, Pattee Library. Levine is a highly-respected member of the educational technology community. To learn more about him, please see his blog.
Note from Alan Levine- "highly-respected" remains to be seen/proved! I think there are 125 judges out there...
Alan's Request for a Storytelling Activity
If you use flickr for photo sharing (and you really should ;-) please tag some of your existing or new photos with 5cardpsu. The reason and use of this will be revealed, but as a guide, suggested picture ideas include:
- a single person from PSU alone
- 2 or more people from PSU interacting
- an expression of emotion
- a mode of transportation seen around PSU
- a public place at PSU
- an everyday object somewhere on campus
- an animal
Here is what it was used for! Jump in an play! http://ets.tlt.psu.edu/5cardflickr/
Location
- Foster Auditorium, University Park
- Live streaming to be available
Open Thoughts
- Faculty Fellows can invite 10-15 faculty
- Do we do individual sessions or one half day
- How many invites? Could we get 100?
- Live question tool during the event
- Live stream all events
Question: This seems like something the changemakers should attend. Any chance of getting some love for the VPs and Assoc. VPs here, too? Would be nice to have someone else iterating thoughts outside of the organization...
