Esther Del Rosso from SITE attended our meeting
- Lynda.com link on SITE web site
- We gave Esther an overview on the Lynda.com license roll-out and began a discussion on having a permanent link to the Training Services/Lynda url
- Chris Lucas, Tara, Esther, and Derick will meet after the pages are published on 8/1; we are looking at meeting the week of 8/3
- SITE Spring Workshops and Training Services Spring Break-Fest
- SITE will be having workshops in spring 2010 that are geared to grad students who have a teaching component towards their work
- These are offered throughout the semester
- SITE held several of these workshops were held in Spring 09; there are not a lot of technology topics in these workshops (how to work with the professor, how to work with students, classroom management - a crash course in how to teach)
- TA 101
- International student workshop
- There was also a workshop geared towards grad students ready to enter the job market - could the TWT Program be included in this workshop?
- SITE does not have the dates for these workshops set yet
- The focus will be geared more towards future faculty
- Diedre Yingling (SITE Events Coordinator) is working on the schedule of these workshops
- The schedule should be ready by the Grad Student Social in August
- Spring Break is the week of March 8 - 12; Spring Break-Fest occurs during the entire week
- SITE is doing a lot of work with assessment (www.assess.psu.edu)
- Penn State will need to be accredited again in 2010
