Courses participating in Fall research
- LST 083S- The 21st Century Researcher (FYS)
- Instructor: Anne Behler, Daniel Mack, Emily Rimland
- Class size: 18 (max) - all students are from Discovery House, a special living option for DUS students
- Class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning September 29, ending October 29; 9:45-11 a.m. in W211A Pattee Library
- We would like the class to submit a multimedia final project(video or podcast). Instructors need to finalize the content/topic for the project. Most likely the students will work in small groups on this project.
Notes from meeting with Anne and Emily:
Create a two minute video project (as a final project) framed as a commercial (for an audience of students in their prospective major / area of interest) selling the value and importance of the biggest and best library resources in their major. Have students come in within their student groups (make individual appointments with the digital commons)
- Nutrition 360 (Fall 2009)
- Instructor: Terry Hartman
- Class size: 70
- Courses included in the fall could participate in a follow-up research study (conducted soon after the conclusion of the video project) assessing students' experiences and acquisition of identified learning outcomes and digital literacies.
NOTES
- IRB
- Need survey instrument. Qualitative vs. quantitative?
- Sparky Awards
- Do we want to collect data in classes incorporating Sparky Awards?
